Creative Projects Manager
2012 — 2015

AmeriCorps Member
2011 — 2012

As an AmeriCorps volunteer in 2011, I was looking for creative ways to get involved with the broader Chicago community to address health disparities experienced across different neighborhoods. Chicago Run provided me with the opportunity to work alongside 20+ elementary and middle schools scattered across the Chicago Public Schools to implement school-based running programs. Chicago Run’s programs not only got students up and running during a very sedentary school day, but more importantly, they introduced students at a young age that they can begin to take ownership of their health by setting running and nutrition goals by running a virtual marathon throughout Chicago.

After my year as an AmeriCorps volunteer, I joined Chicago Run as their Creative Project Manager with the responsibility of enhancing the Chicago Run brand and communicating our team’s impact across various mediums, including the redesign of Chicago Run’s website, the launch of myChicagoRun, a virtual running through the neighborhoods of Chicago, as well as the production of program materials, including program incentives, race-day t-shirts, and workout videos.
